Osprey nest:
For the past five years a reintroduction program
has been underway around southeastern
Michigan to help return the Osprey to its former
habitat. This program takes chicks from
northern Michigan and relocates them to lakes
where the program is underway. The male then
imprints on his new home, and after migrating
south hopefully will return with a mate to begin
a new generation of these wonderful birds in
their adopted homes.
The nest in this video is located on Wild Wing
Lake, in the nature area at Kensington
Metropark in Oakland County.
